The Austin High Orchestra Parents (AHOP) organization will host numerous fundraisers throughout the school year to support the orchestra's payments for instruments, uniforms, supplies, contest fees, awards, trips, banquet, and students' social events. Whenever an Austin High School Orchestra (AHSO) member assists with a fundraiser or for every donation contributed on the orchestra member's behalf, the student's account will receive 60% of the funds raised or donated. These funds may be used by the orchestra member for trips, banquets, contest fees, and other events throughout the student's high school years.
It is understood that some orchestra members and families may not have sufficient time to assist with fundraisers. Consequently, donations of any amount to the AHSO program will be accepted and greatly appreciated. The student's account will receive 60% of the donation, and a tax deduction for the donation will be provided by the Austin Community Foundation. If the donation is $100.00 or more, contributors will receive a letter from the Austin Community Foundation acknowledging the donation.
Those who donate $100.00 or more to the orchestra program will be recognized in this section of the AHSO website and on all orchestra concert programs. Donation levels are as follows:
