Parent Board

Created as a Booster Club in 1987, the Austin High Orchestra Parents (AHOP) has become the driving force behind communication and cooperation between the orchestra director, orchestra students, and orchestra parents.

The Board holds AHOP meetings one evening each month during the school year, with one or two ramp-up meetings during the summer.

The AHOP furnishes project materials, coordinates volunteers for hosted events, organizes and operates fundraisers, uses funds to pay for needed items such as lockers, instruments, music camp scholarships, and stipends, as well as many other projects and initiatives in support of the Austin High School Orchestra program.
